Wastewater Line Project to Impact Traffic on 66th Avenue

A wastewater line maintenance project will impact traffic along a section of 66th Avenue for most of each day on Wednesday, December12th and Thursday, December 13th

Crews will be working on the project between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm on December 12th and 13th.  While the project is underway, 66th Avenue between Englewood Avenue to Lincoln Avenue will be closed to traffic.  Detour routes will be available.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies. For additional information about this project, contact Wastewater Collections Supervisor Bob Brown at 406-7103.
