Wastewater Line Project Will Close Tieton Drive Intersection

The intersection of 40th Avenue and Tieton Drive will be closed from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am on both Monday, June 17th and Tuesday, June 18th in order to accommodate the installation of a new wastewater line.

Also, as has been the case since the project began on June 9th, Tieton Drive between 38th Avenue and 40th Avenue will continue to be closed Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am for most of the next two weeks while the new wastewater line is installed.

Crews from TTC Construction, a Yakima-based contracting firm, are installing an 8-inch sanitary sewer line to provide enhanced service to the area.

Drivers will directed to a detour route during full road closures that occur overnight.  Intermittent lane closures may also occur during daytime hours while the project is ongoing in order to accommodate concrete cure times and trench work.

During the project, traffic delays in the area of Tieton Drive between 38th Avenue and 40th Avenue will occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
