On Monday, June 3^rd and Tuesday, June 4^th, traffic on I Street between 4^th Avenue and 1^st Avenue will be disrupted while City of Yakima crews complete a water system project.

On Monday, June 3^rd, intermittent lane closures will occur on that section of I Street.  Flaggers will be on site to alert drivers and to help them navigate through the project area.  I Street between 4^th Avenue and 1^st Avenue will be closed to all through traffic during the day on Tuesday, June 4^th.

The project will involve City crews replacing an existing water line that is leaking.  Work on the project is expected to be completed on Tuesday, June 4^th.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the areas will be maintained and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, schedules for these types of projects are subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
