The Yakima City Council held a regular business meeting yesterday, Tuesday, April 17th.
Action by the Council on April 17th included:
- Introducing Savannah Kimzey, the City of Yakima’s 2018 AWC Scholarship nominee.
- Issuing a Barbershop Harmony in Yakima Day proclamation.
- Recognizing Officer Gary Garza for 30 years of service.
- Approving the Hearing Examiner’s recommendation to vacate a portion of Midvale Road.

Yakima City Council meetings air live on Charter Cable Channel 194. The April 17th meeting will be replayed at 7:00 p.m. tonight, April 18th. The meeting will be shown again at 9:00 a.m. on the following Saturday and Sunday, April 21st and 22nd.
