The Yakima City Council will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, April 7th, in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2nd Street.
Agenda items for the April 7th regular meeting include:
- Issuing an Arbor Day Proclamation
- Considering a proclamation extending the Mayor’s order declaring an emergency and a resolution approving the Mayor’s extension.
- A public hearing at 6:00 pm to consider the Hearing Examiner’s recommendation regarding a right-of-way petition submitted by Yakima Housing Authority.
- Discussion concerning offering a permanent employment contract to Interim City Manager Alex Meyerhoff.
The following restrictions will be in place for the April 7th meeting due to COVID-19:
- Most of the Council members will be attending via telephone
- Since Yakima City Hall is closed to public access, no community members can attend the meeting in person
- No general public comment will take place during the meeting.
- Public comment during the 6:00 pm public hearing is only available by calling 575-6001. The line will go live once the hearing is declared open and continue until the hearing is closed.
