Yakima City Council Community Forum is Thursday, March 23rd

Yakima City Councilmember Matt Brown (District 6) will host a community forum next Thursday, March 23rd, at the Harman Center, 101 N. 65th Avenue. The forum will begin at 6:00 pm and last until about 7:30 pm.

“The forum will provide an opportunity for community members to ask questions and provide feedback,” said Brown, whose term on the Yakima City Council began in January 2022. “It will give people a chance to bring up issues and to learn more about what the Council and the City are working on now and what kinds of things should be focused on moving forward.”

Light refreshments will be served during the forum.

Brown expects public safety, traffic, road construction, economic development and downtown to be among the issues raised during the forum. In addition to Brown, City staff members will be at the forum to address questions that might come up and to provide information on specific City projects and policies.

Brown previously held a forum last September at the Harman Center.
