The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, December 4th.
Action by the Council yesterday included:
- Terminating all work associated with the Central Plaza project.
- Approving a capital facility needs and feasibility study for Lions Pool, Franklin Pool, the Henry Beauchamp Community Center, the Washington Fruit Community Center, and a possible new outdoor pool at Martin Luther King Jr. Park be included in the 2019 Budget out of Real Estate Excise Tax (REET) 1 funding.
- Restoring the Public Education Captain position to the Fire Department’s 2019 budget.
- Making appointments to City of Yakima boards and committees.
City Council meetings air live on the Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC) Charter Cable Channel 194. The December 4th meeting will be replayed on Channel 194 at 7:00 pm tonight, December 5th as well as at 6 pm on both Thursday, December 6th and Friday, December 7th.
