Yakima City Council December 8th Regular Meeting Preview

The Yakima City Council will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, December 8th in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2nd Street. It will be Council’s last meeting of 2020.

Agenda items for the December 8th regular meeting include:

  • Issuing a Homeless Persons Memorial Proclamation
  • Recognizing Bob Desgrosellier for 40 years of service with the City of Yakima
  • Considering an ad hoc committee with three councilmembers and staff to work on the process of events in the City of Yakima.
  • Discussing program recommendations for additional coronavirus funds

The following precautions are in place for the December 8th regular meeting due to COVID-19:

  • The meeting will be conducted via speakerphone and Zoom.
  • Since Yakima City Hall is closed to public access, no community members can attend in person.
  • There will be no opportunity for verbal communications, with the exception of two public hearings. (See information below).
  • E-mail ccouncil2@yakimawa.gov to provide written comment to the City Council. Written comments received by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 8th, will be provided to the City Council prior to the meeting.

A closed record hearing regarding a preliminary plat in the area of South 60th Avenue and West Washington Avenue, as well as a public hearing on a 6-month moratorium of Class 2 and Class 3 land use applications in the R-3 zoning district will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday night.
