The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 4th.

Action taken by the Council included:

  • Electing Councilmember Janice Deccio as Mayor
  • Electing Councilmember Soneya Lund as Assistant Mayor
  • Issuing a proclamation declaring the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, Jan, 17th, as a Day of Service
  • Deciding to continue holding Council meetings in an in-person/Zoom hybrid format

The City Council’s next meeting is a study session on Tuesday, January 11th, at 5:00 pm.
