Yakima City Council July 6th Regular Meeting Review

The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, July 6th.

Action taken by the Council yesterday included:

  • Recognizing the retirement of Police Officer Darryl Henning for 31 years of service
  • Directing staff to bring back a proposed charter amendment to remove Council members for failure to attend City Council meetings
  • Hiring a grant writer for the City of Yakima
  • Directing staff to make police technology investments and hire two crime analysts

The July 6th Yakima City Council regular meeting will air on Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC), Charter Spectrum channel 194, beginning at 7:00 pm today, Wednesday, July 7th.

The City Council’s next meeting is a study session on Tuesday, July 13th at 5:00 pm.

The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall. It will air live on Y-PAC and be streamed live on the City of Yakima website at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/live-stream/
