Yakima City Council June 1st Regular Meeting Review

The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, June 1st.

Action taken by the Council yesterday included:

  • Recognizing Public Safety Dispatcher Dawna Davis for 27 years of service
  • Confirming appointments to the Henry Beauchamp Community Center Advisory Board, Arts Commission, Tree City USA, Parks and Recreation Commission and Public Facilities District
  • Directing staff to come back with a resolution adopting the Housing Action Plan
  • Directing staff to develop an ordinance based on the City of Fife model to combat street racing

The June 1st Yakima City Council regular meeting will air on Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC), Charter Spectrum channel 194, beginning at 7:00 pm today, Wednesday, June 2nd.

The City Council’s next meeting is a study session on Tuesday, June 8th, at 5:00 pm.
