Yakima City Council June 2nd Regular Meeting Review

The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, June 2nd.

Action taken by the Council yesterday included:

  • Receiving a COVID-19 update from Interim City Manager Alex Meyerhoff.
  • Ratifying a Mayoral proclamation of a temporary moratorium due to COVID-19 on enforcement of certain provisions in YMC 9.47 relating to parking violations for unlicensed vehicles and for 24-hour parking.
  • Approving a resolution facilitating use of public spaces to accommodate restaurants and bars during COVID-19 emergency.
  • Receiving a summary of home occupation permitting process and background.

The June 2nd Yakima City Council regular meeting will air on Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC), Charter Spectrum channel 194, beginning at 7:00 pm today, Wednesday, June 3rd.

The Yakima City Council’s next scheduled meeting is 5:30 pm on Tuesday, July 7th.

The July 7th regular meeting will be held in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2nd Street. It will air live on Y-PAC and be streamed live on the City of Yakima website at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/live-stream/
