The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, June 4th.
Action by the Council yesterday included:
- Observing a moment of silence for the victims of the shooting in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
- Proclaiming the week of June 10th as Juneteenth Freedom Week in the City of Yakima.
- Approving a resolution repealing the City’s participation in the federal E-Verify program.
- Receiving reports from Yakima City Council committees.
Last night’s meeting will air on Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC) Charter Cable Channel 194 at 7 pm tonight, Wednesday.

The Yakima City Council’s next regular meeting is at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, June 18th.
