The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, March 17th.
Action taken by the Council yesterday included:
- Receiving an update on the City of Yakima’s response to COVID-19
- Receiving the Yakima County Development Association’s 2019 Report
- Issuing a Meals on Wheels March for Meals Proclamation
- Agreeing to discuss offering a permanent employment contract to Interim City Manager Alex Meyerhoff at the next regular City Council meeting, and requesting the City’s Legal and Human Resources departments prepare recommendations for contracting.
The March 17th Yakima City Council regular meeting will air on Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC), Charter Spectrum channel 194, beginning at 7:00 pm today, Wednesday, March 18th.

The Yakima City Council’s next scheduled meeting is an executive session at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 7th, followed by a regular meeting at 5:30 pm that same day.
The April 7th regular meeting will be held in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2nd Street. It will air live on Y-PAC and be streamed live on the City of Yakima website at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/live-stream/
