Yakima City Council March 5th Regular Meeting Review

The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, March 5th.

Action by the Council yesterday included:

  • Approving a rezone application submitted for 5231 W. Powerhouse Road.
  • Receiving an update on the Yakima Police Chief search.
  • Discussing Yakima School District joint meeting priorities.
  • Approving an ordinance that, effective April 16th, changes the start time of regular Council meetings to 5:30 pm, with public hearings beginning at 6:00 pm.

The Yakima City Council will hold a special meeting at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 12th to discuss affordable housing.  

The City Council’s next regular meeting will be 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19th.

The March 12th and March 19th meetings will both be in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2nd Street. Both will air live on the Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC) Charter Cable Channel 194 and be streamed live at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/live-stream/

In addition, due to the server failure local programming on YCTV, Channel 192, as well as Y-PAC are being affected.
