The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, March 5^th.

Action by the Council yesterday included:

• Approving a rezone application submitted for 5231 W. Powerhouse Road.
• Receiving an update on the Yakima Police Chief search.
• Discussing Yakima School District joint meeting priorities.
• Approving an ordinance that, effective April 16^th, changes the start time of regular Council meetings to 5:30 pm, with public hearings beginning at 6:00 pm.

The Yakima City Council will hold a special meeting at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 12^th to discuss affordable housing.  

The City Council’s next regular meeting will be 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19^th.

The March 12^th and March 19^th meetings will both be in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2^nd Street. Both will air live on the Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC) Charter Cable Channel 194 and be streamed live at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/live-stream/

In addition, due to the server failure local programming on YCTV, Channel 192, as well as Y-PAC are being affected.
