The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, May 18th.
Action taken by the Council yesterday included:
- Receiving an announcement that City Hall and City facilities will re-open to the public on Tuesday, June 1st. City employees and visitors who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear masks.
- Agreeing to assist with up to $15,000 for July 4th fireworks celebration at State Fair Park
- Approving letters of support for Yakima Housing Authority and the YWCA
- Requesting a report from staff regarding street racing

The City Council’s next meeting is a study session on Tuesday, May 25th, at 5:00 pm.
