The Yakima City Council held its most recent regular agenda business meeting on Tuesday, April 2nd.

Action taken by the Council regarding items on the April 2nd agenda included:

–   Approving a Professional Services Agreement not to exceed $115,000 for development of a Downtown Yakima Master Plan

–   Approving a Professional Services Agreement not to exceed $32,000 for development of a retail element of the Yakima Downtown Master Plan

–    Approving a Professional Services Agreement not to exceed $220,700 to prepare an Environmental and Geotechnical Report for the Cascade Mill Site Project

–    Agreeing to move forward with a plan to improve security at the Yakima Greenway and Arboretum by installing solar powered lights and surveillance cameras.
