The Yakima City Council held its most recent regular agenda business meeting on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016.
Action taken by the Council on October 18th included:
– Authorizing the closure of a temporary downtown homeless encampment on November 18th
– Seeking comment from the Yakama Nation on changing Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day in the City
– Setting public hearing dates on the proposed 2017 City budget
– Approving an agreement for redevelopment of a City park at 16th Avenue and Tieton Drive
