The Yakima City Council held its most recent regular agenda business meeting on Tuesday, April 16th. Action taken by the Council on April 16th included:
– Review of a quarterly update on implementation of the City of Yakima Strategic Plan
– Approval a $5 million low interest loan from the Department of Ecology to fund design and construction work on a Methane Utilization/Efficiency Conservation project at the Wastewater Treatment Plant
– Allowing the sale of alcoholic beverages for special permitted events in all City parks
– Adoption of a Financial Management Policy & Stewardship of Public Funds for planning and management of City revenue and property
