Yakima City Council November 7th Business Meeting Review

The Yakima City Council held a regular business meeting yesterday, Tuesday, November 7th.

Action by the Council on November 7th included:

  • Learning the City has achieved a Class 3 rating for fire protection.
  • Establishing Council Briefing meetings the Thursday before each regular business meeting.
  • Approving the 2018 Ad Valorem Tax (property tax).
  • Recognizing Senior Engineer Bob Desgrosellier. He received the Dick Andrews Award from the Washington Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

Yakima City Council meetings air live on Charter Cable Channel 194. The November 7th meeting will be replayed at 7:00 pm tonight, November 8th. The meeting will be shown again at 9:00 am on the following Saturday and Sunday, November 11th and 12th.

The Council’s next meeting will be a regular business meeting at 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 21st. That meeting will include a 2018 budget hearing at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North Second Street.
