The Yakima City Council held a regular business meeting yesterday, Tuesday, October 17th.
Action by the Council on October 17th included:
- Agreeing to continue discussion about the Community Integration and Ethics & Equal Rights Exploratory Committees at the next regular business meeting on November 7th.
- Approving temporary emergency cold weather shelters in the city of Yakima and allowing a faith-based shelter to operate during this time.
- Agreeing to lease City-owned property to Transform Yakima Together.
- Receiving the 2016 Yakima Police Department annual report.

Yakima City Council meetings air live on Charter Cable Channel 194 and the October 17th meeting will be replayed at 7:00 pm tonight, October 18th. The Council’s next meeting will be a budget Study Session at 9:00 am tomorrow, Thursday, October 19th in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North Second Street.
