The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, October 2nd.
Action by the Council yesterday included:
- Reading a New Citizens Day Proclamation.
- Introducing Finance and Budget Director Steve Groom.
- Recognizing the City’s Wastewater Division for receiving the “2017 Wastewater Treatment Plant Outstanding Performance Award” from the Department of Ecology.
- Receiving a report on the 2018 Council Mentorship-Internship Program.
- Approving the Upper Yakima River Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan, 2018 Cowiche Addendum.
City Council meetings air live on the Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC) Charter Cable Channel 194. The October 2nd meeting will be replayed on Channel 194 at 7:00 pm tonight, October 3rd, as well as 9:00 am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 6th, 7th and 8th.

The Yakima City Council’s next regular meeting will be at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 16th. The Council also has a study session for the 2019 budget at 9:00 am next Tuesday, October 9th.
