The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, October 2^nd.

Action by the Council yesterday included:

• Reading a New Citizens Day Proclamation.
• Introducing Finance and Budget Director Steve Groom.
• Recognizing the City’s Wastewater Division for receiving the “2017 Wastewater Treatment Plant Outstanding Performance Award” from the Department of Ecology.
• Receiving a report on the 2018 Council Mentorship-Internship Program.
• Approving the Upper Yakima River Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan, 2018 Cowiche Addendum.

City Council meetings air live on the Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC) Charter Cable Channel 194. The October 2^nd meeting will be replayed on Channel 194 at 7:00 pm tonight, October 3^rd, as well as 9:00 am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 6^th, 7^th and 8^th.

The Yakima City Council’s next regular meeting will be at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 16^th. The Council also has a study session for the 2019 budget at 9:00 am next Tuesday, October 9^th.
