Yakima City Council September 17th Regular Meeting Review

The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, September 17th.

Action taken by the Council yesterday included:

  • Receiving a report from the Council Public Safety Committee.
  • Directing staff to invite Congressional staff members to meet with the Council regarding immigration reform legislation at the federal level.
  • Approving an ordinance amending City of Yakima Municipal Code Chapter 9.47 regarding vehicle impounds related to unlicensed vehicles.

The September 17th Yakima City Council regular meeting will air on Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC), Charter Cable channel 194, at 7:00 pm today, Wednesday, September 18th.

The City Council will hold an agenda preview meeting next Tuesday, September 24th. The Council’s next regular meeting will be Tuesday, October 1st. Both meetings will begin at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 N. 2nd Street.  The meetings will air live on Y-PAC and also be streamed live on the City of Yakima website at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/live-stream/
