The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday, Tuesday, September 17^th.

Action taken by the Council yesterday included:

• Receiving a report from the Council Public Safety Committee.
• Directing staff to invite Congressional staff members to meet with the Council regarding immigration reform legislation at the federal level.
• Approving an ordinance amending City of Yakima Municipal Code Chapter 9.47 regarding vehicle impounds related to unlicensed vehicles.

The September 17^th Yakima City Council regular meeting will air on Yakima Public Affairs Channel (Y-PAC), Charter Cable channel 194, at 7:00 pm today, Wednesday, September 18^th.

The City Council will hold an agenda preview meeting next Tuesday, September 24^th. The Council’s next regular meeting will be Tuesday, October 1^st. Both meetings will begin at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 N. 2^nd Street.  The meetings will air live on Y-PAC and also be streamed live on the City of Yakima website at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/live-stream/
