The Yakima City Council held its most recent regular agenda business meeting on Tuesday, May 21st. Action taken by the Council on May 21st included:
– Setting a June 16th, 2013 public hearing date for enhanced regulations of panhandlers in the City of Yakima
– Continuation of a six-month moratorium on new permit applications for billboards and digital signs
– Continuation of a six-month moratorium on new permit applications for telecommunication towers and facilities
– Approving the expansion of the Police Department assigned vehicle program
– Changing guidelines for addressing the City Council during meetings
– Failing to pass a motion to open the 2013 Comprehensive Plan Amendment Process
