Yakima Fire Department 18th Annual Spaghetti Feed October 9th

Yakima Firefighters will be serving up their famous spaghetti sauce next Wednesday, October 9th to help raise money for the Yakima Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. The 18th Annual  Yakima Fire Department Spaghetti Feed will run from 4:00 to 7:30 pm at Fire Station 91, located at 401 North Front Street.

Sponsored by the Yakima Fire Department and the Yakima Firefighters Association, the event generated $2,500 in 2012 for the Red Cross and organizers are hoping to raise even more money this year.

Firefighters will be serving up plates of pasta, garlic bread, salad and even slices of pie for the event that is held in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week.

“The local chapter of the American Red Cross provides invaluable assistance to victims of fires and other disasters and all of the proceeds from the spaghetti feed will stay in the community” said YFD Firefighter Nick Sloan, one of this years event organizers.

Dinner is $7.50 for adults and $5 for kids and seniors. Slices of pie will cost $1 a piece.
