Yakima Parks & Recreation Expanding Alternative Programs

From no-bake cookies to tick-tock soccer drills, Yakima Parks & Recreation staff members continue to expand virtual recreation alternatives for the community this summer.

The City of Yakima’s Harman Center has added a host of alternative recreation options that range from virtual concerts to a trip to the moon. They are available on the Harman Center’s Facebook page and on the Parks and Recreation YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCF_-Hhv4kJwoQ_YUg35xWOg

Yakima Parks & Recreation facilities and programs are closed due to restrictions related to Gov. Jay Inslee’s phased-in Safe Start program.

The one exception is the City’s Fisher Park Golf Course. The course is open under the Safe Start program, but with social distancing requirements. Visit https://yakimaparks.com/parks/fisher-park-golf-course/ for more information.
