Many of the City of Yakima’s services will be closed Monday, May 31st, for Memorial Day.
Yakima Transit will not provide bus service Monday.
There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on Monday, May 31st. Garbage collection service schedules by the City’s Refuse Division will be delayed by one day next week. Those with service scheduled for Friday, June 4th, will instead have their garbage picked up on Saturday, June 5th.
The one-day delay next week also applies to yard waste.
To ensure proper service, residents are asked to have their carts set out by 6:00 am.
City of Yakima services will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, June 1st. On that day City buildings and facilities will re-open to the public after having been closed previously due to COVID-19 precautions.
