Codes/Planning Customer Service Center Closed on Friday

The customer service center on the second floor of Yakima City Hall which provides codes, planning, and permit services to the public will be closed all day on Friday, July 15th while renovation work is being done.

As part of the renovations being made to the center, the Codes/Planning customer service counter will be relocated.  In order to disrupt service to the public as little as possible while the customer service counter is moved, the center will be closed during business hours on July 15th.

The City’s Engineering Division customer service counter, which is located across the hallway from the Codes/Planning counter, will remain open on Friday, July 15th.

Even though the Codes/Planning Customer Service Center at City Hall will be closed for the day on July 15th, building inspection requests will still be able to be submitted through the City online permit center by clicking on the following link – https://ci-yakima-wa.smartgovcommunity.com/Public/Home.

“We know that the temporary closure of the center on Friday, July 15th may result in some inconvenience for our customers,” said Code Administration Manager Joe Caruso.  “We ask them to be patient while the customer service counter is relocated.  Once the renovations of the center are completed, we are confident that customers will appreciate the improved service that we’ll be able to provide,” said Caruso.
