On Tuesday, January 11 at about 10:40pm, Yakima police responded to a 9-1-1 call about a male having been shot at the Yakima Inn hotel (1022 N 1st Street). When officers arrived, they found 38-year-old Clayton Peter Brown, Jr. deceased in a room in the hotel. Brown died from a gunshot wound to the head.
