Yakima Irrigation Season Set to Begin April 1st

Tuesday, April 1st marks the scheduled start of the irrigation season for the vast majority of residential and business customers in Yakima.  That’s the day that the systems operated by the City of Yakima’s Water/Irrigation Division are scheduled to begin delivering water. All City of Yakima irrigation systems should be fully operational by mid April.

Citizen Police Academy Set to Begin in April

Applications are now being accepted for the Yakima Police Department Citizens Academy.  The academy will take place each Tuesday night for 10 weeks, starting April 8, 2014. This academy is free and enrollment will be on a first come basis, limited to 30 attendees. Academy attendees must be 18 years old and pass a background
